  1. About 20 members were present at the Tuesday night meeting. The main topics seemed to be the obnoxious odors wafting their way to at least No. Beacon Hill. Also in discussion was the AIA,
    (Alcohol Impact Area)
The director of the Puget Sound Air Agency stated that the location of the odors are difficult to locate, albeit some can be toxic. He urged those making a complaint be specific as to the date and time of day to: pscleanair.org. Some suspects that have been monitored by the PSCAA do come from the SODO
    and Duwamish areas.
As for the AIA, it appeared this not working well. as there seems to be no decline in drunks, people urinating or defecating on private property. The lax voluntary issues of the program in limiting hours of certain beverages apparently is not too successful. People are urged to call police but one lady said that also met with little or no action taken at times.
It was also suggested that people come up from the SODO area etc. to Beacon Hill, as it is the easiest place to get booze.
While it may or maybe not be coming from No. Beacon Hill, I periodically pick up beer cans etc. along Lewis Park and around to the Mountain to Sound Trail under the 12th. Ave. bridge .The Parkview Apartments at 14th/15th Ave. is also under scrutiny for possible drug and prostitute activity.

  2. It looks like the site is a bit out of date; is this still going on ?
I just moved in and would like to meet some neighabors and see how I can help out

  3. Gavin, the North Beacon Hill Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the Beacon Hill Library, with the exception of the summer months and the occasional tweak of the schedule due to a holiday. The next meeting is on Tuesday November 5.
