Earlier this evening, I stopped in at Beacon Hill’s newest neighborhood business, Hello Bicycle. Mickey, the owner, has some temporary signage up and the doors open for customers. Still to be worked out are lighting, phone, and additional display racks, but they’ll be happy to show you some bikes for sale, get you some repair parts, or fix and tune your old Schwinn, Mongoose, or Cannondale.
The grand opening is still a little ways off, but feel free to stop in during their “soft opening.” The shop is located at Hanford and Beacon, right across the street from Kusina Filipina.
Buggy, a Beacon Avenue retailer of baby stuff, is featured in the P-I today. Nice pictures! I knew they had knitting classes at Buggy, but I did not know they had yarn for sale there. I don’t have a baby to buy for, but I am a knitter, so I may have to check out the woolly merchandise.
Grown Folks Coffee House is hosting a viewing party for the third and final Presidential debate this coming Wednesday, October 15th, 5:30pm to 7:30pm. They are located at 4878 Beacon Avenue South. They will be hosting election returns viewing all day on Election Day as well–plan ahead!
Heather and Sarah of Buggy, your local baby feed & tack, are pleased to invite the neighborhood to help celebrate Buggy’s first birthday tomorrow, Sunday, October 12th. There will be live music by Brian Vogan, as well as free cupcakes and coffee. The celebrating starts at 11:30am. Buggy is located at 3315 Beacon Avenue South. For more information, call 206-325-5999.
Thanks to Sarah for the announcement list posting!
