So this will be my first 4th of July on Beacon Hill. I know fireworks are limited this year in Seattle since Ivar’s cancelled their show, but I wondered if any of the longtime residents knew of a good spot to go sit somewhere up here and see if you can catch some of the shows around town.
Thanks and happy early 4th of July to everyone!

We’ve always watched the Ivar’s show from one of the westward viewpoints. From there you can see some other shows in the distance, but I don’t know if that’s what you’re looking for. Maybe the east side of the hill offers a better view?
(Oh, and the 12th Avenue viewpoint also featured an impromptu, homegrown fireworks show, which again I don’t know if that’s what you want.)

Thanks for the suggestions! That’s exactly what I’m looking for.

Actually, rereading my post, I think I should clarify: You can see the tops of some other shows in the distance.

Unfortunately, since the show at Myrtle Edwards is cancelled this year, I think we’ll be able to see much less from the 12th Ave Viewpoint.
However, there are a lot of fireworks scofflaws on Beacon Hill, so I don’t doubt there will be local fireworks to watch. Maybe, just maybe, word of mouth will get around about who’s got the goods. (Not us.)

Thanks for the clarification YuekHahn.
Also, Wendi I’ve heard fireworks going off occasionally almost every night this week so I was beginning to think that we might get our own neighborhood show.

It is highly likely. Most years there are a fair amount of them.
