This Wednesday, October 15, David Mura will be reading from his novel Famous Suicides of the Japanese Empire at the Beacon Hill Library, 2821 Beacon Ave. S., at 6:30 pm. I haven’t read this book yet, but I did read his Turning Japanese: Memoirs of a Sansei some years ago, and it was quite good.
