- A panel advocating for veterans of the (first) Persian Gulf War will hold public hearings at the VA medical center on Beacon Hill this month. The Advisory Committee on Gulf War Veterans will be here Jan. 14 and 15. - With this Sunday night snow, so far Seattle schools are still opening on-time and Metro advises checking for service revisions before you head out tomorrow. SDOT has 16+ trucks out sanding and plowing. Drive carefully if it doesn’t all melt off overnight!
