A large number of car break-ins and smashed windows have been reported on the mailing list lately, mostly running along Waite Street and also along 18th Avenue South.

  1. Crime is up 22% over the same time last year at this time. All we can do is be vigilant and make an effort to get out into the neighborhood and be a physical deterrent to crime. If the criminals see people out and in the community they are less likely to attempt crimes. Whatever time morning, afternoon or evening just to take a walk. It all works and it doesn’t have to be far just as long as you are visible.
