Found pets: could they be yours?

We’ve had a couple of reports of found pets on the Hill lately. (Maybe they got away from home during the noise of Blue Angels weekend?)

Kyla reports: “There is a lost dog at my house. No collar. 20th and College.” The dog is pictured at the bottom of this post. You can reach Kyla at kylackie@gmail.com.

(We’ve removed the report about the other found pet, a kitten, at the poster’s request. — Ed.)

Is this your cat?

Neighbor Lynn has been adopted by a cute kitty who may be lost:

“For the past six months or so, this russian blue cat with green eyes has been sneaking into my house and ‘sharing’ my cats’ food. I live near the corner of Beacon and Columbian. I assumed it was just because he liked what I was serving better than his own home, but now I’m begining to wonder if he’s homeless… I suspect someone is missing this guy, since he’s been full-on living here for a while now. He’s super talkative, with an amazing vocabulary, lots of rolling R’s. Very affectionate, a bit skittish. No collar. This cat has a very unique tail, I’ve never seen anything like it. If someone has any info on this cat, please email me at lynnard666-at-comcast.net. thanks!”

Have you seen Simon?

This sweet kitty, Simon, is lost on Beacon Hill.
A large black tabby cat named Simon is lost, and his family misses him. Simon is five years old, and has no tags or microchip. He was last seen on Christmas Eve at 13th Avenue South and South Angeline Street. He is very friendly, but shy with strangers. He has a squeaky meow.

If you have seen him, please call Tori at (206) 354-2619, or Joshua at (206) 354-2582.

Pets: lost, found, and in school

Sophie is still missing. From Craigslist:

500.00 reward for finding our lost cat
Sophie is a 7 year old spayed gray and white fluffy cat with greenish-yellow eyes. She was last seen around 7pm on September 25th, 2009 and was wearing a bright pink collar with silver sparkles on it and a small pink bell attached. She enjoys hiding out in garages and would likely be a little skittish unless hungry. We miss her terribly and need to have her back home with us — she’s a true member of our family. If you have any sort of information please, please contact us as soon as possible — no questions asked, we just desperately want her back home. Life just isn’t the same without our girl. (206) 723-1608. Thank you so much.

Yes, you read that headline correctly. A five-foot-long iguana is apparently lost somewhere on North Beacon Hill.

Found today on craigslist.org:

My iguana headed out Saturday morning, Oct 17th. He cannot survive long in this weather. He was last seen near the I-90 trail at Atlantic & 17th AVE S, and may have wandered down towards 18th, up towards 23rd, or even climbed over the wall towards I-90. If you have seen him, please email me. If you live in the area or know people in the area, especially anyone who might have been driving Saturday morning, or running or biking on the I-90 trail, please let them know about this search.

Thank you,
Pete

Lost kitty: Nauney absconds again

Nauney was last seen on the 4th.
Nauney was last seen on the 4th.

You may recall when Nauney went missing last month. After returning home, she was fitted with a collar. A little while later, the collar went missing. A couple of days after that, Nauney did. There’s concern she may have gotten accidentally locked up in a shed or house under renovation nearby.

She was last seen Sunday, October 4th, on the corner of 13th and Hill Street. She is a very friendly gray tabby with green/yellow colored eyes and is a loud talker.

Please call Rosie at 701-610-4555 or Seth at 206-914-0557 with any info.

Nauney also goes by the name "Pretty Kitty."

Have you seen Gracie?

Neighbor Dorcas writes:

My indoor cat has escaped in the neighborhood around MacPherson’s Market on Columbian on Wednesday night. She is a black cat, big and fat. She doesn’t wear a collar — she always would take it off — but she is micro chipped.

I don’t have a picture of her on my computer — but she is just a regular, hefty black cat… She is also very loved and missed. She’s been part of my family for 8 years and she’s never been outside before except for trips to the vet.

If someone finds her, her name is Gracie. Please contain her if possible and call me: 206-419-8986.
